DESCRIPTION:<p><strong><em>Update:</em></strong><em> At its July 8, 2019,&nbsp;meeting the city council agreed that at a future study session they would consider undertaking a process of having a focused conversation with St. Louis Park residents about the role of civic expressions in our work, including the Pledge of Allegiance, and how to best express our values and principals in order to create a more engaging civic space for all of our neighbors. The meeting date for this discussion is still being finalized.&nbsp;</em></p><p>The St. Louis Park City Council meets for a study session Monday, July 8, at 6:30 p.m. in the council chambers, third floor, St. Louis Park City Hall. The meeting starts with future study session agenda planning, with proposed topics including a return to reciting the Pledge of Allegiance at regular city council meetings, and how St. Louis Park can best celebrate, express, learn about and act on its shared values. </p><p>Additional items for the study session include an annual report and funding request from The Nest, C-1 zoning district retail and service use restrictions and the Efficient Building Program. <b>Study sessions are open to the public although no public comment is taken. </b><a href="https://stlouisparkmn.prod.govaccess.org/government/city-council/agendas-minutes">Read the agenda and reports.</a></p>
