The St. Louis Park City Council meets, Monday, Nov. 7, at 5:30 p.m. for a study session to discuss managing change in residential neighborhoods, which continues the housing and neighborhood-oriented development system discussion. The first half of the Nov. 7 study session will conclude at 6:20 p.m. when the economic development authority meeting starts, followed by the regular city council meeting at 6:30 p.m. Immediately following the regular meeting, the study session will resume for the second half of the discussion about managing change in residential neighborhoods.
The housing and neighborhood-oriented development system discussion included topics at the Oct. 17 and 24 study sessions. Subsequent topics include:
Members of the public can attend the study sessions and meetings in person, watch by webstream at bit.ly/watchslpcouncil, or watch on local cable (Comcast SD channel 17/HD channel 859). Provide comment on regular meeting agenda items in person at the council meeting or by emailing comments to info@stlouispark.org by noon the day of the meeting. Comments must be related to an item on the meeting agenda. Public input is not taken at study sessions.
Recordings are available to watch on the city’s YouTube channel, usually within 24 hours of the end of the council meeting or study session.

In 2022, the city council began piloting an effort to group study session topics (called “systems discussions”) according to the city’s five strategic priorities. The project started with community engagement, environmental stewardship and infrastructure discussions. Race equity and inclusion will conclude the cycle of systems discussions for 2022, with the first discussion set for Dec. 12.
