Project status

Broadway Street Development requested variances to the setback requirements for a front yard and side yard abutting a street in the N-4 zoning district. The application is tentatively scheduled for consideration at the September 2, 2026, board of zoning appeals meeting. 

Project background

Broadway Street Development proposes a seven-story, 208-unit affordable multifamily development located at 8800 Highway 7. The project would include demolition of the existing structure and construction of an approximately 280,000-square-foot building featuring seven levels of affordable housing wrapping five and a half stories of structured parking. All residential units in the development would be reserved for households earning between 30% and 80% of the area median income (AMI). The current proposal includes 47 one-bedroom, 81 two-bedroom and 80 three-bedroom units.

Public meetings

The developer hosted a neighborhood meeting on Tuesday, March 3. No members of the public attended the meeting.
