Where we are in the planning and next steps
We have completed the first and second steps of the project planning, with data collection and initial public engagement wrapped up earlier this summer. We presented the preliminary design layouts at the open house on July 23 and received community feedback. We are currently working on reviewing the feedback and finalizing the design, which community members will be able to view at the second open house in October 2026.
Next steps
Design: June - October 2026
- Open House no. 2: city staff will consider the feedback and finalize the design; community will view the final design and ask clarifying questions to prepare for the public hearing.
Council review: December 2026
- Public Hearing: city council hear directly from staff and the community on the proposed project. Community members speak directly to the city council ahead of them making a decision.
Council decision - December 2026
