Community risk reduction has the following goals:

• Decreasing the number of 911 calls
• Reducing the need to dispatch emergency medical services
• Addressing the needs of patients with chronic health issues often related to age, disability and mobility

The fire department strives to help residents connect with available resources to support independence, while reducing the dependence on 911.
